My life is a love letter to the world and a thank You note to God.

What drives you to create the life you are living?

I’m motivated by my desire to follow what I feel is God’s guidance, and I feel for me, that is to create ways to share lessons I’ve learned.

After my daddy’s fatal car accident, it felt as if my heart was ripped out of my chest. Still, God gives me the strength I need each day. Each day, God places strength and blessings in my world, and each day, I am motivated to share with the world how much His love means to me.

One of the ways my dad and I connected was through music. He put me on to Gil-Scott Heron and the dopness of Isaac-Hayes, with those soul-rattling instrumentals. He loved “One Mic” by Nas, and thought of ways he could incorporate that song in his teachings while working with students.

He was my world. My hero.

The memories of the moments we shared bonding over music lives on forever. I thank God that all I have to do is press play.
